An Australian made blueberry punch is offering new hope to prostate cancer sufferers.
Trials on a new variety of the natural tonic will be held in Brisbane to determine just how effective the punch is.
Like its predecessor ‘ginger punch’, the blueberry variety contains ingredients such turmeric and citrus peel, and also has concentrated Shiraz and blueberry extract which contains powerful coloured antioxidants.
Test tube trials at Sydney University have found that blueberry punch is approximately six times more effective in killing prostate cancer cells than ginger punch.
Human trials will start in Brisbane within the next few months. 150 men with prostate cancer will drink three glasses of blueberry punch each day for a year, and their progress will be monitored.
A bottle of blueberry punch costs around 40 dollars, and contains 30 serves.
I’d be interested in this study. Blueberry juice is a good source of antioxidants which help with all types of health problems.
I’ve had blueberry juice and it’s the best tasting healthy drink out there too.

I cannot find this blueberry punch anywhere on the website. Those web pages like Nutricentre and Dr Red/Purple are out of stock, yet they are still advertising it and taking your money before they bother to inform you they are out of stock. My husband has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and I would really like to get hold of some while he waits for the result of his bone scan and has some kind of treatment.
